Kurzbeschreibung	A performance edition for viola of J.S. Bach's suites for violoncello, taking into consideration the intent of the composer and the current state of knowledge concerning Baroque performance practice. The sources for the works are examined for their reliability and are compared with one another, as well as with other Bach works for solo strings, to resolve questions of articulation. Matters of tempo, dynamics, rhythm, tuning, fingerings, and double and triple stops are also addressed.
