Kurzbeschreibung	English: Discusses the completely revised 1967–68 edition, in collaboration with Gottfried Wolters, of the author's 1950 edition of Bach's motets BWV 225–230. Comments on questions of source criticism, chronology, and performance practice, and demonstrates that the erroneous assumptions of earlier editors (that Bach's motets were meant for a cappella performance) influenced their judgment and led to erroneous decisions. The new edition reflects recent research, not only in the choral score but also in the colla parte instrumental voices and in the addition of continuo.
